Can I use an internal drive in my Digital Audio Machine or MP3 Audio Machine?
An internal hard drive may be installed as a custom option at the time that your DAM-AM3 unit is ordered. It is not field installable. Storage is limited to 2 Gigabyte. Since 1 Gigabyte PCMCIA media is available for use in the socket of your product, the internal drive option is rarely needed.
The MP3 Audio Machine does not accommodate an internal drive. IBM microdrives now available, make this option unnecessary. An MP3 Audio Machine equipped with a 1 Gigabyte microdrive will play over 16 hours of audio.
