Sounds played on my Digital Binloop are garbled but not on the PC. Why?

Your media is probably fragmented. The Digital Binloop and Digital Audio Machine are busy little pieces of equipment. To speed things up, they require that the sectors of the sound be in order. Windows has a penchant for fragmenting the data as it's copied into your PC-Card; deleting and recopying a file just about guarantees that it will be fragmented. To correct this, place all of your files in a directory on your PC, start a DOS command shell, and use a DOS DEL command to delete the entire contents of the PC-Card. Verify that it's deleted with a DOS DIR command. There should be no subdirectories, trash cans, etc. Now copy the entire directory into the PC-Card with the DOS COPY command. Voila!
