Technical Support Specialist

As the leader of technology for theme parks and museums, we are seeking a technician S.A.V for our audio/video and show control products. A good knowledge of audio, video, electronics and programming is required. The position requires an organized person with good communication skills and a great sense of service. Your role will be to assist our customers by e-mail and telephone, do programming and repair products. The job involves some travel in France and Europe. Good English and another European language is a must. You’ll be based in our offices near Paris Disneyland. The candidate must have a valid European work permit. Package includes salary and health insurance.

You will work directly with our customers either on the phone or via email to resolve issues ranging from system design and application inquiries, to diagnosing equipment failure modes and symptoms.

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Assist customers with technical questions or installation issues involving our current product line.

2) Gather, analyze, understand, and (if required) properly convey technical data and other information to engineers to quickly and efficiently diagnose and solve the customer's problem.

3) Demonstrate an ongoing effort to become completely familiar with Alcorn McBride products and customer requirements as they relate to potential future product improvements.

4) Log support inquiries, complete Return Authorization (RA) forms, transmit shipping information, and prepare other documentation required to record and process equipment replacement or exchange.

5) Exhibit proficiency in communicating with customers and coworkers and maintain an appropriate sense of urgency when assisting customers.

6) Perform field service calls, hardware installation and script programming (as proficiency in the latter develops) throughout Europe.

Qualifications:

Minimum 6-12 months experience with professional audio/video systems and/or control systems

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software products

Basic knowledge of PC and small office network systems

Excellent English communication skills .
