Wannsee Conference
Memorial and Educational Site

In January 2006 the memorial and educational site House of the Wannsee Conference opened a new permanent exhibition. This exhibition reflects developments in historical research since the opening up of archives in Eastern Europe in the 1990s.

The main focus of the site is the Wannsee Conference of 20 January 1942 and its significance for the process of planning the genocide of European Jews, as well as the involvement of the conference participants and the authorities they represented in the persecution and murder of the Jews.

The exhibition assesses the alternatives for action presented to the bystanders and the fight for survival of the victims.

Digital Video Machine DVM-7400s are used for the presenations.
