Smithsonian's Kenneth E. Behring Family Hall of Mammals invites visitors to explore the incredible diversity of mammals. 274 mammals are displayed in a variety of environments from polar to desert.
The 25,000-square-foot space, dramatic and well-lit, has been fully restored to its original Beaux Arts architecture. It sets a new standard for museum biology halls in both content and design.
The central section is the Africa Gallery, viewed below from the 2nd floor overlook.
