Smithsonian Hall of Mammals
Lions, Tigers and Bears

Smithsonian's Kenneth E. Behring Family Hall of Mammals invites visitors to explore the incredible diversity of mammals. 274 mammals are displayed in a variety of environments from polar to desert.

The 25,000-square-foot space, dramatic and well-lit, has been fully restored to its original Beaux Arts architecture. It sets a new standard for museum biology halls in both content and design.

The central section is the Africa Gallery, viewed below from the 2nd floor overlook.

Audio throughout is provided by Alcorn McBride 8-TraXX units.
