New Orleans-based contractor PSX installed all of the special effects systems for Harrah's Casino New Orleans. The PSX design incorporates a variety of features including fiber optic lighting, fountain lighting, heavy fog sys­tems, live show control, surround sound effects, automated storm and simulated hurricane effects, moving cloud effects, sea fog, and tidal surge pools. The system is so large that it uses over 1,000 JBL Contractor Control Series Speakers. All of the various audio and lighting systems throughout the casino – in Jazz Court, Mardi Gras Court, Smugglers Court, Court of the Mansion and the Harrah's Fat Tuesday Parade – are tied together using five Alcorn McBride Show Controllers.
