Extra is a syndicated half-hour pop culture news program that's been on the air for many years.

In order to give the popular TV show a little extra flair, they use an Alcorn McBride V16 show controller to control five Digital Video Machines. The DVM's feed a selection of different animated logos to various monitors on the stage during the show. "Our technical director uses the V16+ to select one of twenty or so different logo looks off each DVM." Says Pat Brennan, Director of Engineering for Telepictures. "These animated logos give Extra a proprietary look and have been a mainstay on the show for two years."
